I spotted this on the Holloway Road this week.
Well we have just had a recession. So I guess some businesses may be stationary. But I don’t suppose this is what they are talking about.                                              Â
Come on people. This is a schoolboy error. The easiest way to remember the difference:Â stationers (with an E) sell stationery (also with an E). Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â

Since I was told this tip when I was a child, I’ve always remembered that there is the letter ‘e’ in ’stationery’ because ‘envelope’, an item of stationery, starts with one.
Yep, good one Shane. I learnt to spell ‘necessary’ at school by learning ‘no elephant can eat spam sandwiches and raspberry yoghurt’. I still sometimes say it in my head as I’m writing!
